Naïa was born from a worry every cat owner knows
A bowl that stays full, a cat that won't drink. It was from that small everyday anxiety that Naïa was born: first a fountain, then a French store built for the wellbeing of cats and dogs as a whole — hydration, mealtime, play, calm.
It all started with a cat that wouldn't drink
In the beginning there was a cat like so many others: fussy, playful, adorable — and a water bowl that stayed full from morning till night. At first we put it down to a whim. Then a vet visit changed everything: cats descend from a desert feline and feel little thirst. As a result, many live in chronic under-hydration, and their kidneys pay the price, silently, for years.
Digging deeper, we discovered that moving water changes everything: fresh and oxygenated, it draws cats in far more than still water does. The problem was that the fountains on the market were noisy, a chore to clean, or made from questionable plastics.
So we decided to build our own. Silent, easy to take apart, with a rinsable foam filter that traps hair and impurities to keep the water visibly clean — and moving water that makes them want to drink. That's how the Naïa fountain was born — and with it, the brand.
Three principles, no compromises
Every Naïa product goes through the same three questions. If it doesn't tick all three boxes, it doesn't ship.
Animal health first
Good hydration protects the kidneys and urinary tract. Everything we design starts there: helping your pet drink more, naturally, without forcing them.
Safe materials
BPA-free food-grade plastic, low-voltage pump, rinsable foam filter that traps hair and impurities: whatever touches your pet's water has to be beyond reproach. Full stop.
Simple to maintain
A product you can't manage to clean ends up in a cupboard. The Naïa fountain comes apart in a few movements and rinses in two minutes — so it actually gets used, every day.
Wellbeing doesn't stop at the bowl
Talking with vets and behaviourists, one thing became obvious: a contented animal is one that is hydrated and stimulated. Boredom and stress damage their daily life as much as stagnant water does.
That's why the Naïa family grew well beyond the fountain, with accessories designed for mealtime, play and calm: the snuffle mat, which puts the nose to work and slows down fast eaters, and the lick mat, whose slow licking naturally soothes cats and dogs — during brushing, bath time or a stressful moment.
